Affiliate disclosure

The short version

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and apply for a policy, we may be paid a commission by the insurer or by an advertising network acting for them. This costs you nothing — you do not pay more than you would going direct.

How to tell

Affiliate links are marked in the page source with rel="sponsored", and any page carrying one displays an advertising disclosure near the top. Links that are not affiliate links are plain outbound links to the company’s own site.

What it does not influence

Commission does not decide which companies we cover, what we say about them, where they appear in a listing, or how they are ranked in a best-of list. A company with no affiliate relationship is covered on the same terms as one with a commercial arrangement, and we do not remove unfavourable information about a partner.

We do not accept payment for a positive review, for a specific ranking position, or for the removal of a trade-off from a page.

Coverage is not exhaustive

We do not cover every insurer in the market, and the absence of a company is not a judgement about it. Some carriers are not covered simply because we have not researched them yet.
